A block-scoring game built around speed, control, and endgame parking.
In Push Back, robots move blocks into goals around the field while also fighting for control of key scoring areas. Matches reward fast collection, accurate placement, smart defence, and reliable driving under pressure.
The game also includes loading zones, autonomous scoring, and an endgame park, so a strong robot has to do more than one job well: it needs to score consistently, recover quickly, and finish the match in a controlled position.

At the Australian National Championship in Adelaide, the team competed against the leading VEX U programs in the region. The event tested the robot, the pit process, driver consistency, autonomous routines, and the team's ability to keep improving between matches.
The Nationals robot prioritised dependable scoring, serviceability, and a clear operating rhythm for the drive team. The result was an undefeated tournament run, first place overall, first in skills, and the Excellence Award.

At the VEX U World Championship in St Louis, Old Barker Redbacks represented Barker Alumni Robotics against university teams from around the world. The standard of engineering, match preparation, and on-field execution was significantly higher than at regional events.
The Worlds robot carried forward the lessons from Adelaide, with refinements shaped by testing and match review. The team finished 9th in division with an 8-2-0 record and received the Build Award for the quality and execution of the robot.
